Being able to read horses is one of the greatest skills a horseman can have. It tells you what approach you need to take and helps you resolve problems quickly. Creating a positive balance of trust and respect, eliminating many common problems and safety issues.

Some of what is covered in Stage 2:

Further developing Stage 1
Sending your horse over jumps online, backing him through gates etc
Responsive leading - at the trot, with float in the rope, having your horse stop and back up when you do
Trailer loading - having it be easy, calm, fun, and safe for both you and the horse
Teach your horse how to pick up its feet for you, so you can clean them or make your farriers life easier, learn how to position yourself to keep safe and have it be easy.
Build straight and responsive back ups
Further developing HQ and FQ turns in the saddle, becoming aware of the placement of the feet and how to influence them.
Rein and leg placement and positions for turns, have your horse follow your direction of focus and learn the skills required to ride more with your body and less with the reins.
Have your horse put his head to the ground so you can put on your halter or natural rope hackamore
Learn why the better your backwards and sideways with your horse, the better everthing else will be.
Begin to understand the skills and techniques needed to create depth, feel timing and balance between you and your horses.
