High and Wild Horsemanship Educational Adventure 2016

Morning Meeting

High and Wild is a unique experience. It is held up at The Big 9 Outfitters which covers over 1500 square miles of pristine wilderness on the eastern slope of Canada’s Rocky Mountains in Northern British Columbia. Big 9 does not offer horsemanship or trail rides. Its focus is hunting and we are able to experience this location and learn from the herd of horses as guests of Glenn Stewart. Glenn is very attached to this location. He has been going to Big 9 since he was 17 years old and it is his horsemanship training and his horsemanship program that is the training foundation of the herd of over 120 horses.

This is my third year experiencing this trip and it gets better each year.  It is a horsemanship trip of a lifetime and it is more then that it is a journey of self discovery.  The amazing thing about this High and Wild trip is that it is your trip and what you get out of it is 100% yours!  If you ask each guest you will get different answers of what they got out of High and Wild, what they learned, how they are changed and how thier horsemanship is changed.

Here are some photos from the trip.  Hope to see you in 2017.
